Sarah Farenden
Sarah is an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist (ACMT) trained in several methods of working with soft tissue. Keeping in line with the Jing training protocol, a typical body massage will incorporate: • Myofascial Release, to help reduce restrictions in the body’s connective tissue • Trigger Point Therapy, to help diminish patterns of pain • Heat/cold for easing off soft tissue tension and reducing inflammation • Swedish Massage, to increase blood and lymph circulation • Acupressure points to aid in unblocking stagnant energy within your body • Stretching to assist the muscle fibres in improving range of movement These specific techniques are accompanied by the option of having a bespoke aromatherapy blend for your treatment to support the manual soft tissue work. Sarah has a holistic approach to treatments, working with you as a whole person, rather than just looking at symptoms. The combination of techniques that she uses creates a treatment that is ideal for achieving your therapy goal- whether that be getting out of pain, working with chronic conditions, increasing athletic performance, or having a deeply relaxing massage to reduce stress hormones. Additionally, Sarah is trained in hot/cold stones, massage during pregnancy, aromatherapy, scar tissue work, and seated acupressure. Through your sessions, she will work with you to help maintain optimal body function and performance.
